Limnology studies inland aquatic ecosystems. We focus on the physical and chemical limnology of lakes. The discussed themes comprise water motions, mass transport, sediment dynamics, thermodynamics, hydrology and water quality. In each of these, we outline processes, equations, field observations and models.
